Colbea Celebrating A Successful Tendring4Growth Week

Colbea in partnership with the Tendring District Council have partaken in a successful week-long events programme, which is dedicated to supporting business growth within the Tendring District.

Monday 30th September 2019 – “Fuelling Ambition” with Scott Russell
This free breakfast event was held at The Pavilion in Clacton. It consisted of talks from Councillor Neil Stock OBE regarding the councils ambitions for growth as well as their plans for the future, and guest speaker Scott Russell, the founder of Paddy and Scotts Coffee, who gave an inspirational speech about how he managed to grow his own business into a multi-national company.

Tuesday 1st October 2019 – Tendring Jobs and Careers Fair
This event, which is in its seventh year of being held, was hosted at the Princes Theatre in Clacton. This provided an opportunity for anyone looking for career options or even training opportunities to come down and have a conversation with the carious stand holders, who are both local and national.

Wednesday 2nd October 2019 – Tendring Energy Seminar
The Tendring Energy Seminar allowed those who attended to hear from various industry experts, including representatives from Nautilus Associates, EDF Energy, Galloper Wind Farm and Greater South East Energy Hub. There was also an opportunity to meet various other business and get an insight into what they do and get an idea into their supply chains.

Thursday 3rd October 2019 – Women in Business Networking Event
Colbea in partnership with the Tendring District Council hosted The Women in Business Networking Event at the Royal Hotel in Clacton. This was suitable for anyone who is interested in starting up their own business, has recently started up their own business or even those who are looking into gaining further information to help expand their business further. The event also welcomed a speech from Charlotte Bate, who will give an inspirational speech about her experiences setting up and growing her own business in conjunction with the trials and tribulations she faced along the way. This event linked to Colbeas ‘In The Market For Success’, which is an unmissable opportunity for any aspiring businesswomen to access further training, resources and support that they need to get their business up an running and how to take their business idea into the market.

Thursday 3rd October 2019 – Tendring Blue Ribbon Awards
The Trending Blue Ribbon Awards, in its fourth year of running, provided an opportunity to showcase the achievements of the local business community.

Tendring4Growth week was concluded with a celebration event on Friday 4th October 2019 to celebrate and reflect upon the success of the week-long events programme as well as the success of those who have been part of it!
